In June 1997 while siting in on
the X-ecutioners first studio session, I found myself scribbling down
different line patterns in hope of creating an orchestrated turntablist
team routine. Since then this transcription system has been constantly
refined via the collaboration with Ethan Imboden , an industrial designer,
 who
helped develop a more user friendly method, and recently DJ Ray Dawn a
dedicated student of Turntablism who independently was developing a similar
system that focused on advanced scratches. This booklet is the first product
of this group collaboration. It is an open source effort. We look forward
to your opinions, questions and suggestions. This new audio language is
now visible, the possibilities are endless, compose, create, innovate.
